A new 120 room hotel, expanded gaming floor, and a high limit gaming room will be added. In September 2016, ground breaking took place as part of a multi million expansion project for the casino.
Its name changed during a 2-year rebranding project that began in early 2012 when the Ho-Chunk Nation decided to rename all their casinos to the Ho-Chunk Gaming brand.
Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River was previously named the Majestic Pines Casino.
